Independence Day
The Brontos are excited.
They heard that thousands of families would be coming together to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, and they were excited to join in the fun.
But they had one problem.
“Whew… It’s HOT!” Groovy laughed as she wiped her forehead.
Luminara dampened a cloth with cool water and wrapped it around her neck.
“First stop,” she said with a smile. “Cool down.”
Soon, everyone came up with their own plan too.
T-Rhythm filled everyone’s water bottles.
Thumper proudly carried a small cooler packed with cold drinks.
Raptor Rex reminded everyone to put on a hat before heading into the sunshine.
“Fireworks are more fun when nobody gets overheated,” Verdantor said with a warm smile.
5 Tips to Stay Cool
Before leaving, the whole group checked the “Stay Cool Checklist.”
- Drink plenty of water.
- Wear a hat.
- Find shade whenever you need a break.
- Use sunscreen.
- Tell an adult if you begin feeling too hot or dizzy.
Now they were ready.
