Imagine finding a dinosaur fossil with its last meal still inside! That’s exactly what scientists in China discovered when they unearthed a new dinosaur species named Huadanosaurus sinensis. This small, meat-eating dinosaur lived about 125 million years ago.
Inside its stomach, researchers found two tiny mammals. One was a distant relative of today’s mammals, and the other belonged to a group called gobiconodontids, which includes creatures like Repenomamus. This surprising find shows that Huadanosaurus hunted and ate mammals, giving us a clearer picture of ancient food chains where dinosaurs and mammals interacted as predators and prey.
This discovery helps scientists understand how animals lived and ate long ago. It’s like a prehistoric puzzle piece that tells us more about the world of dinosaurs and their neighbors!
