Fictitious Shrine for Flying Dinosaurs
🦖 The Real “Flying Dinosaurs”
The release of The Brontos: Tim Takes Flight couldn’t have been more serendipitous. Just as readers are introduced to Tim’s airborne adventures, A-Z Animals has unveiled an insightful piece on the real “flying dinosaurs” that once ruled our skies.
Some notable pterosaurs include:
- Pterodactylus antiquus: One of the earliest known pterosaurs, characterized by its long, narrow skull and toothed beak. Maybe Pterodactyl Tim’s great uncle?

- Pterodaustro: Recognizable by its comb-like teeth, believed to be used for filter-feeding in water bodies.

- Moganopterus: Notable for its elongated skull and potential for a vast wingspan, making it one of the larger pterosaurs.

- Pteranodon: Distinguished by its toothless beak and large cranial crest, it had a wingspan that could reach over 20 feet.

- Quetzalcoatlus: Among the largest known flying animals of all time, with an estimated wingspan of up to 36 feet.

These magnificent creatures showcase the incredible diversity and adaptability of life during the age of dinosaurs.
