🦖 Can a T-Rex Swim? The Brontos Dive Into the Mystery!

Hey Bronto Buddies!

Swimming pools traditionally open Memorial Day weekend. We know the T-Rex had giant teeth, big feet, and a roar that could rattle the jungle—but could it swim too? 🤿 That’s a question that dino experts are still splashing around with!

Here’s what we found out during band practice (and a little research time with Terra Doctor Tim, our brainy flyer friend):

🦶 Dino Tracks in the Sand?

Scientists have discovered old dinosaur footprints in what used to be muddy riverbeds. Some tracks look like the T-Rex was doggy-paddling through the water, with its feet scraping the river bottom!

🦴 Float Like a T-Rex?

Guess what? T-Rex bones were hollow inside, just like bird bones! That means they might’ve helped the dino float a little easier if it ever jumped in for a dip.

🐦 Bird Buddies Who Swim

T-Rex is related to birds (crazy, right?), and many big birds like emus and ostriches can swim just fine. So it’s not too wild to think Raptor Rex’s ancestors might’ve splashed around too!

🐟 Splash Attack!

Some scientists think T-Rex might’ve even chased prey into shallow water, using the water to move faster or sneakier. Imagine that—a swimming super-hunter!

But hold onto your tail feathers—nobody’s found a video of T-Rex doing the backstroke yet, but here’s a cool video from Prehistoric Planet:

🎥 Could T-Rex Really Swim?

So, can T-Rex swim? 🌊 We think it’s a big “probably!” And just like rocking out with The Brontos, it’s always fun to imagine what dinosaurs could do.
